My new com and my gaming life..

Hey guys.. placement sure sucks. Working is no fun at all, it seems. Not to mention the nice traffic in Colombo. It takes roughly about one and half hours to go 2 work, and another 1 1/2 to get back. A total of 2-3 hours per day. Add 9 hours of work (Well actually about 8 1/2 ) That leads to a total of 12 hours max. So if I take 8 hours of sleep (I need my sleep alot), that leaves around 4 left for my self.. Been a Sri lankan really sucks. But then again, its not like i have much of a choice. lol..

Well enough about that. This post is about my new com and my new currier choice.

Well after giving a greate deal of thought, I’ve finally decided that I’m gona move in to the gaming business as a pro gamer. Well i have a lot to catch up, but regarding the 15 or so years of gaming, I think this would be a good choice. But there are loads of probs, which i would come to in a little while. First about my com. I brought a new com. lol

I decided to buy a new com after my old dual core kept giving me some wired probs. It stared to power down by it self, some time when i switch it on. All the fans and all just stops working and the green lights still working. It seemed like a wired ass power prob, and it was. The power which was given out was not enough to power up all the mortars. The power pack seems to have been damaged by dust. Its really irritating how dust can screw thins up like that. Sooooo.. the new com I’ve brought is a quad core

Intel Q6600 processor (2.4GHz)

Intel DG33FBC mother board. (which can be used for both quad and core 2)

4GB (800MHz) RAM (2 *2)

250GB hard drive

+ DVD writer and DVD rom

Pretty neat right? Well as you all have seen no VGA.. WTF?? right.. Now thats one down side of been a sri lankan. Those guys didnt have the card i was looking for. I was looking for a Nvidia 8800GTS 512MB card and they had no idea about the card and its prices. I have to customly import that thing or had to wait for about a month to get the details of it. Since i have no way of getting one, I’m currently waiting.

And it seems i might have to pay Microsoft to play games. Man thats one thing I hate to do. Due to the unfortunate set of events which lead to the Microsoft OS been the widely use platform for gaming, and the new security features of vista ( for once they seem to be doing well.) I don’t seem to have much of a choice. Even if i can find a crack for vista that would mean no updates, well at least not all of them. Any way That would be the current situation of the things. I’ll be back..
