A new season begins

After a long wait, finally it arrives. The forth season of supernatural. Yaaeeee.. :D Finally I got something to set my mind on.

Spoilers below, only the people who have seen the episode “Lazarus Rising“ should continue to read……

The forth season brings a new twist to the series. One main thing to remember here is that most of the time in movies and dramas gods and angels are usually lefts untouched. This is due to the belief that god demands all living creatures to have free-will and neither he/she nor the angels should be aloud to meddle with the balance. So usually god just lights up the path for our heroes to venture through. This is actually what gives the “kick ass” start for the 4th season. An angle pulling dean from hell changes the whole story completely. This is extremely interesting because this applies that, in the story, god is not just watching in the back but is also planning. This simple act (could be complicated depending on the writers view ;) ) inevitably leads to full scale war. If we get really lucky Eric Kripke’s crew might let us have a glimpse of Lucifer, though I shouldn’t get my hopes up. :D

What really bugs me here is why did they use Castiel for this, why not use some one more popular like Michel or Gabriel? (Using Michel, referred as the greatest of all angels, which would have shown that saving dean is a remarkable achievement which requires great power. Using Gabriel would have meant a kick as war is to come, since he’s the angel or war.) Since the normal demons didn’t knew about Castiel upon mentioning his name in the bar meant that the angels haven’t done some thing like this for a long time and also none of the demons have ever heard of Castiel. In fact the only info I was able find about Castiel is that he’s the angel of Thursday and he helps people to travel. If you consider both Lilith and Azazel they boot have rich history and when compared to Castiel, Castiel seems like a file in the Great Wall of China. So the question pops up. Why Castiel?

He fits the job description well, but he just doesn’t seem like the helping kind. This kind of brings me to topic regarding the fallen angels. Some stories have references to these so called fallen angels. There are not demonic but they are hell bent on destroying the demonic. Could Castiel be a fallen angel who would drag dean through crap and might even force him to kill Sam? There are too many possibilities and not enough facts. So let’s leave that part for now and let the writes decide on the out come.
